AMAN - Aman.jo JORDAN COVID-19 1.1

The AMAN App is designed specifically for use within The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. It will be permanently removed from the App Store once the COVID-19 pandemic comes to an end.

Developed by the COVID-19 JOTECH Community, a group of tech-savvy volunteers, the AMAN App is a privacy-conscious exposure detection tool created for Jordan's Ministry of Health (MoH). Its purpose is to contribute to the safety and well-being of the community by assisting in the fight against coronavirus.

AMAN addresses two important questions:

1. Have we recently come into contact with an active COVID-19 case?
2. If so, how can we be notified as soon as possible?

In order to minimize risk and provide reliable information to Jordanians and their guests, this community-driven App utilizes anonymous GPS data to detect exposure to COVID-19 patients. Once downloaded, AMAN stores location data for the previous 14 days. If a user of the app is diagnosed with coronavirus by the Ministry of Health, individuals who were recently in contact with that person will be notified through the app. They will receive instructions to isolate themselves and call the MOH's COVID-19 Hotline at 111.

Protecting your privacy is of utmost importance. Therefore, AMAN only stores data on your phone and does not require any personal information or data that could compromise your privacy or lead to your identification.

Here's how you can help in preventing the spread of COVID-19 by installing AMAN:

• Download the AMAN App
• Follow the provided instructions
• Enable location services on your device
• Ensure that AMAN App is running in the background when going out or coming into contact with others
• If you have been in close proximity to a COVID-19 patient, AMAN will notify you regarding the level of exposure risk. It will advise you to self-isolate and contact the MOH's Hotline at 111.
• In the event that you are diagnosed with COVID-19, you have the option to share your anonymized location data with MOH officials through AMAN. This would assist in notifying individuals who were in contact with you without revealing your identity.
